BAHALACHIN TRADITION ENSEMBLE

Bahalchin means "our culture" in Amharic, and that's what this group will perform. This is a music and dance company of Ethiopian Jews living in Israel. We have no idea if they're any good, but they sound very interesting.

ERIC COMSTOCK

Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano

Maybe more cabaret than jazz. Maybe not. Comstock plays the piano and sings. He's married to Fasano, but we don't know what she does on stage. It's such a kitschy room, though, so who cares?

BRISA ATLANTICA

We have been waiting for years for salsa and rhumba to migrate north from Miami into Palm Beach County. It's finally here, at Brisa Atlantica, a new restaurant near Delray's Atlantic Avenue. A couple of years ago, we went down to Calle Ocho to take a lesson from a conguero in an unfurnished room. The conguero is now putting together the music at Brisa Atlantica - it should be mighty authentic. Read the review below for a lot more detail.

There's cuban food, too.

Brisa Atlantica
9 SE Seventh Avenue
Delray Beach

Shows are Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Call for times. No website yet.
